Jeff Chow, a final-year student in the Department of English, won the Most Creative Award in Hong Kong’s Top Story 2016 competition, co-organised by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), EJ Insight and the Hong Kong Economic Journal Education. All winners received books from Pan Macmillan and dining vouchers from Lan Kwai Fong Group.

The theme of the competition was “Family and Friends” and Jeff won the Most Creative Award with his story entitled “The Sun and The Moon On October 25”. This story, and the other winning stories, were broadcast on RTHK and published on both the RTHK and EJ Insight websites.

Jeff, an emerging creative writer, also won the Third Prize in HKBU’s English Poetry (Unpublished Works) Contest in 2016 and is a contributing photographer to EDGE, the creative-writing journal curated by students from the Department of English.
