“Cord blood” was submitted as part of Ms Cecilia Cheung’s final project for ENGL4067 – Comics and Graphic Novels: Comics Nonfiction taught by Prof. Jason S. Polley in semester 2, AY 2025-2026.

Bio of the Artist:

Cecilia Cheung is a third-year English Language and Literature major at Hong Kong Baptist University. She moved from mainland China to Hong Kong when she was around 12 years old. Later, she experienced a series of life changes, including her parents’ divorce. This piece is a non‑fiction autobiographical comic. It presented Cheung’s exploration on mother-daughter bond and personal emotions from her life experiences.
