CHONG Michael Yat Tsun (Year 1, Faculty of Arts) and LEE Chiu Yin, Charlene (Year 3, ENG) represented HKBU in the semi-final of the “21st Century Cup” National English-Speaking Competition Hong Kong region (University Category), held at the British Council on 23 November 2019. Both of them advanced to the final, alongside three other contestants from two local tertiary institutions. The official announcement and more detailed reportage are available here.
This is the first time the University Category of the competition has been organised in Hong Kong. The final will take place on 18 January 2020 and all winners will be awarded lavish prizes. The champion will also represent Hong Kong at the 25th China Daily “21st Century·Coca-Cola Cup” National College English-Speaking Competition to compete with over 70 university students from all across China in the three-day contest.
